North Carolina Shooting Club Mission Statement
The North Carolina Shooting Club (NCSC) is a private club that exists for the benefit of its members who share a mutual interest in all forms of shooting sports. Key elements of its mission are to promote safety, education and an overall competence with firearms. In addition, a major goal of the club is to create a sense of comradery and fellowship among its members. Therefore, being a member requires active participation in quarterly meetings as well as in periodic range work projects. Active participation in the club strengthens it as an organization and brings members together as we all seek to develop our firearm skills in a friendly and safe environment. To strengthen our commitment to the mission, the following rules shall apply to all members:
Each member should participate in all quarterly meetings. However, each member must participate in at least one meeting in the calendar year. If a member fails to participate in at least one meeting during the calendar year, range use privileges shall be suspended until the next quarterly meeting.
Suspended members can regain privileges by participating in the next quarterly meeting following suspension. If a suspended member fails to participate in the next meeting after suspension, their membership shall be terminated.
Each member should participate in all club work projects. These projects foster teamwork as well as help to maintain the range. Members shall participate in at least one work project during the calendar year. In addition, any member failing to participate in at least one work project shall not be eligible for periodic dues discounts and other incentives that the club periodically offers members. If a member cannot participate in work projects due to a health reason, such member can notify the board and request an exemption.
